Is been sometime since I last updated my blog so decided to post some updates.
Been busy with some more websites, mainly on this company called Obrien Glass Maintence. I am supposed to make changes to the existing website as the client wanted to add more links and pages. When I looked at the website, realised that the way that was being done was really hard to make changes cos the layour is not flexible. Maybe is because I am slowly getting used to importing external data and combined into one web page. So what i had done was to make the naviagtion and footer portion into php so that is easier to maintain. The next thing was to add an additional link which I fund it really difficult as the navigation were on top of an image and it was really hard to blend everything and I have to make changes to the image and also not to spoil the original image.
Ok... work work.

Have been looking at the statistic on google analytic and was quite amazed by some of the figures and facts. Have visitor from all over the world visiting my website. Some of them I can roughly guess who the person might be as I have friends all over the world now. Is quite interesting to have people visiting from Europe countries as well and the funny part is I don't really have friends from Europe. At the same time I was quite glad that people in those countires are viewing my sites as well which means I would have to spend more time and effort to make this site look better.
Was working on some css yesterday for the new website but not so sure how it will work as I have not upload to my server and test it out but will do that later.
Anyway found these few blogs on the web, quite nice looking.

Spent the whole of today to work on the remaining of the print items. The print items are from Coastal Oral and Facial Surgery. I was asked to do these print items as Hasan is busy with his own things and also he will be going to India next week. Now I just need to continue what Hasan have done and continue to work on. I was told to do around 7 print items and the only thing I got from Hasan was the logo. Basically I just need to follow what the client has and digitise the documents into the computer. The whole process is just tedious as I spent most of the time typing instead of designing which is not really fun.
Now I am just having a break before we go to Surfers to have dinner. Today is Friday and will still be coming back tmr to work on other projects. Might want to continue the website that I just designed and put them into html unless my boss have changes for me to do.
Was talking to Esther for the last few days and was glad that she finally got a job, a perm job for half a year. She waited for around 6 months and she was working in Espirit for the last few months as the assistant manager. As for me, joping to settle my visa soon and then focus on working as there are a few different areas that I will be involved and hopefully I can be really busy. Will need to look for a new place to stay soon as the current contract is ending soon. Not sure where I want to stay, still deciding on which area I want to live in as there are a few good places and I feel like staying in different place just for experience.

Working on some print items for today and will have a few new websites to design the next few days. Hopefully I will be busy for the next few weeks.
Was designing a new layout for the next coming website yesterday. I realised that I have not done a blue website and so used blue as the theme colour. Would have to involve in using some new techniques for the new website in terms of CSS but not too sure how well I can do but I hope I can do a good job. The layout is really simple and now I just need to wait for the infomation before I start to do them in html/CSS.

《魯冰花》是一部80年代末的台灣電影，電影以一對姐弟為主線。母親因操勞過度早死，父親靠租種鄉長的地吃力地維持一家的生活。弟弟古阿明生性活潑，學習成績不好但卻有畫畫的天才。姐姐古茶妹小小年紀卻很懂事和體貼人。
新近來自大城市的年輕美術老師郭雲天慧眼識才，極力推薦亞明作為學校年級代表外出參賽，但遭絕大部分老師抵制，硬推選有錢有勢的鄉長的兒子。鄉長的兒子也曾對阿明說自已的畫不如阿明的好。眼見學校老師們的勢利短見和愚劣，郭雲天失望回城，與阿明道別時帶上了阿明一張』茶蟲』畫離去作記念。阿明已受肝病折磨，他父親無力讓他治院，向鄉長借錢又被無情拒絕。阿明非常失望自已不被選上參加畫畫比賽，而他唯一喜愛的郭老師又離去，阿明病情加重。在一個小雨綿綿的陰天，阿明獨自來到山下河旁，他想實現一直以來的心願, 要把這美麗的山和水都畫出來，但這卻成了他最後的一張(對他來說還未完成的)畫，也是他小小的年紀在這艱難的人間做的最後一件事，他靜靜地象睡著般走了，手中仍拿著走前那一刻還用著的, 郭老師送的紅色臘筆。
不久，消息傳來，郭老師把阿明的』茶蟲』畫送參一世界比賽，』茶蟲』獲第一名獎。於是整個水城鄉地區幾乎人人都為本地出了個天才而臉上有光。鄉長自已也忘不了在慶功大會上自我表現一翻，他似乎把其』見死不救』的事早已忘得乾乾淨淨。
輪到阿明家長領獎講話，茶妹上前, 代表不會講國語的爸爸多謝眾人並表示 「為了一個死去的小孩子，讓大家站在這裡曬太陽，真不好意思…，大家都說他是天才，在他末得獎以前，只有郭雲天老師說他是天才…」。
最後，幾個親朋一起去給阿明上香並把阿明所畫的畫都燒給阿明，阿明爸爸把這個榮耀的獎狀也一併燒掉。茶妹感覺到另外一個世界中的阿明似乎有所安慰。

塞翁失馬，焉知非福 (sai wong shi ma, yan zhi fei fu)
Minor hiccup happened to my visa but i guess i think I should just keep reminding myself above the above Chinese idiom. Indeed it might sound not really good for me but I think that also opened up other options for me in terms of my work and my current situation.
Work has been good but it could be better. Now I have been given extra oppotunities to work with more people. Hopefully in a few months time, I would have more job oppotunities and more works.

Spent some time to re-arrange my whole ftp structure and now the mlstudiosonline home page has now been updated to this. Finally this website is being updated since last year.
This will be the site from today where i put my blog posts and also upload my current works. 4ever-sianhalf will not be updated anymore.
The "contact" page has some improvement thanks to Joshua Koo but still some small errors and will be fixed soon.
Holiday today due to the Labour Day but surprising there were like people in uni working on assignment. Normally people would say that the "ang mo" are very lazy but I think that does not really apply to my course people. There will be people even in holiday and weekends, pretty hardcore.
Happy birthday to Denise Chua, my secondary friend, who should be in Perth now. However, today I was told by Xin Wei, another secondary friend of mine, that my secondary three Chinese teacher has passed away. This is really shocking to me especially. Though I have not seen my teacher for ages but I could still remember how she had been good to me. Really regret that I did not visit her after i finished my secondary and now I don't have the chance. Think I really have to put my thoughts into action more often next time if not there would be more regrets. Hopefully I would be able to find her younger sister and visit her the next time. Her sister has been good to me as she used to be my A.maths tutor, very patient about my careless mistakes and very clear in her teaching. Anyway to both teachers, "Thanks you very much!"

"Portfolio" page has been updated with new graphic that was done in Illustrator. Once again random playing with Illustrator gives me satifactory result. Just playing with diagonals, or distorting or whatever is called and matched with light gradient background. Just another "apple"-ish style of design...
Will need to do a bit of restructuring of the entire "mlstudiosonline" ftp but not so soon. So far the main index page is still the old design which was done laast year and opefully as I said, hopefully, I hope to launched the new site in May. Of course I will have to finish my "contact" page first before I am willing to launch the new design.
This morning, have the chance to watch "IRON MAN" with friends. Was really fascinated by the animations even though I am not really into 3-D stuffs but I really have to say is really well-done. All the spinning of the machineries and the timing of the movement of every individual part just excites me. I am not trying to promote the movie or what so ever but just want to share my views on the animations in my perspective as a digital designer, who has some experience with 3-D.
The Audi R8 that was in the movie was not too bad. Well... I am not really a Audi fan as the two German cars companies that I really like is the BMW and Porsche. Their designs are just much better looking and more of my style. But I must agree that the R8 does look nice. I think I saw the R8 driving past the bus I was in and at that time I don't think I know the name of the car. Think is really cool to stay in Southport as you can see like a lot of different nice and expensive cars here.
Still waiting for my visa to be approved and hopefully by that time, I would be having more jobs as the places that I am working or I will be working or helping are getting more and more busy. That is really good for me as I need to get busy and have more work done.

First post for May.
Recently Lutze gave me some jobs to do. Just some layout of images and editing of some texts. Nothing much to do but at least is a start. Hopefully he would be able to provide me with more the next time.
Hasan has yet help me with the "contact" page, not sure what he is doing now but hopefully I can get help from him soon so that my website can be launched.
